Our client, a mortgage servicing company, is seeking an experienced Product Owner to join their growing team! This position is 100% REMOTE opportunity and is a long term contract role with an initial 6 month duration.  

This Product Owner should have in-depth knowledge with the Atlassian Tool Suite including Confluence and Jira. This Product Owner will manage enhancement requests, set the future vision and roadmap of the Atlassian Tool Suite and contribute to the overall strategy. 

The Product Owner is responsible for the tactical implementation of the Product strategy. Will work closely with Product Managers, Business Analysts, Engineers and leadership to create user stories and prioritized backlogs that are value-add, metric driven and contribute to the success of the business. This role will foster effective cross-team collaboration, drive testing and enable efficient delivery of product enhancements using agile methodologies with the goal of improving the overall customer and team member experiences and efficiencies.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Determines and articulates Minimum Viable Product; that is, identifies those portions of an overall vision that are minimally necessary to achieve company objectives.
  • Creates, maintains, and prioritizes an Agile team’s work backlog by assessing business and customer value.
  • Collaborates with other Product Owners to manage inter-team dependencies.
  • Focuses on outcomes, sets clear success criteria.
  • Challenges status quo to find new solutions and drive out of the box ideas.
  • Possesses excellent analytical skills with demonstrated experience turning data into actionable insights.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with both technical and business associates.
  • Ability to work independently and be a self-starter, Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Collaborates with wider team on project milestones and provides organizational management and stakeholder with relevant updates.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.

Education and/or Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or two (2) + years of additional Business Analysis, Product Owner, Programming, etc. Anything relevant in the Product or Tech space would offset the need for a Bachelor's
  • Two (2) to four (4) years Atlassian Tool Suite experience with Confluence and Jira
  • Five (5) + years of Business Analysis or Product Owner experience as an individual contributor, preferred
  • Previous experience in Mortgage Banking, Fintech and/or associated lines of business is highly, preferred.
Must Have:
  • Atlassian Tool Suite experience- Jira, Confluence
  • Atlassian Cloud Solution knowledge is a Nice to have
  • Must have experience managing Atlassian Tool Suite enhancement requests
  • Must have experience setting  future vision and roadmap for the tool
  • Experience identifying Roadblocks and working through challenges

Nice To Have
  • Mortgage industry experience
  • Experience migrating from Atlassian on-prem to Atlassian Cloud Solution
  • Business Analyst experience
  • Experience building reports using Power BI
  • Program management expertise; ability to manage large scale implementations of new vendor products
