Summary:
Our client, a growing, innovative technology solutions company is seeking a UI Software Engineer to grow their team! This position is a 6 month contract to hire opportunity. This is a HYBRID role, candidates can reside in the Philadelphia Region or in the Detroit Region. Candidates will be required to go onsite a few times per month. 

About the Role:
Our client is seeking a Senior Front End UI Engineer with in-depth experience using modern web development tools. This role is pivotal in our journey to scale our web application and ensure it meets the demands of our growing user base.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist in migrating our existing Svelte-based front end to React, collaborating closely with the development team to ensure a seamless transition.
2. Create, maintain, and improve user-friendly interfaces using React, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
3. Identify and address performance bottlenecks, implementing best practices for faster loading times and a smoother user experience.
4. Write clean and maintainable code, adhering to industry-standard coding practices.
5. Conduct comprehensive testing, including unit and integration testing, to ensure the reliability and stability of the application.
6. Engage in cross-functional collaboration with backend engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality software.
7. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently to maintain the application's seamless operation.

Qualifications:

1. 5-7+ years of Front End development experience.
2. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
3. Demonstrated expertise in React and front-end development.
4. Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
5. Familiarity with modern web development tools and workflows (e.g., build tools / module bundlers, npm/yarn, version control systems).
6. Ability to work autonomously and collaborate effectively within a team.

Preferred Skills:

1. Experience with CI/CD pipelines using GitHub workflows/actions.
2. Experience with deploying applications to multiple environments using Vercel.
3. Experience with Svelte.
4. Experience with end to end testing using Cypress.
5. Understanding of UI/UX design principles.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
7. Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
