A Grocery Retail company is seeking a Logistics Engineer to join the team in Burlington County, NJ. This role is direct hire and requires an onsite schedule of 5 days a week.
Job Summary: The Logistics System Engineer will be responsible for design and analysis of operational solutions for projects such as transportation optimization., networking modeling, process and method analysis, cost containment, capacity enhancement, routing and shipment optimization, or information management.
Analyze and interpret logistics data involving customer service, forecasting, procurement, manufacturing, inventory, transportation, or warehousing.
Evaluate the use of technologies, such as global positioning systems (GPS). Radio-frequency identification (RFID), route navigation software,
Identify cost-reduction or process improvement logistics opportunities.
Provide logistical facilities or capacity planning analyses for distribution or transportation functions.
Review contractual commitments, customer specifications, or related information to determine logistics processes.
Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency.
Conduct logistics studies or analyses, such as time studies, rates, network, flow path, supply chain, or zero-based analysis.
Evaluate the use of warehousing software to maximize plant or distribution center efficiency.
Must have extensive experience with Omnitracs Routing, Dispatching & Strategic Planner
Thorough understanding of warehouse, transportation, logistics, and DOT requirements
Experience with ERP systems and MS office suite, especially Excel
Proven track record of implementing new technologies for efficiency
Strong business acumen
Prior experience doing systems admin responsibilities, can manage the orgs hardware
Experience doing automated inventory management
Exceptional people skills and demonstrated ability to lead/develop/coach/ mentor a team to excellent individual and collective performance
