Role: SQL QA Analyst (Database Testing)
Type: DIRECT HIRE
Location: 2 days remote, 3 days on-site in Fort Washington, PA (T/W/Th)

Our client is a leading provider of nutrition and healthy lifestyle meal solutions with a focus on transforming healthy living for adults.  They are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst to join their team. This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days on-site at their brand-new Fort Washington, PA office. This is a direct hire opportunity. 

Position Summary:
As a Software Quality Assurance Tester specializing in SQL analytics and automated testing, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. You will work closely with our development and product teams to design and implement automated test cases, while also utilizing your SQL skills for in-depth data analysis.

Key Responsibilities:
SQL Analytics (Primary):

• Write and optimize SQL queries for data validation and analysis.
• Generate reports, analyze data, and identify patterns and trends to support decision-making.
• Collaborate with data analysts and data engineers to understand data requirements and ensure data quality.
• Work with SQL language, EDI /ETL systems, and API testing.
• Test multiple databases like SQL Server, Oracle, Snowflake, etc.
• Perform testing reports using BI reports and Looker.
• Troubleshoot data-related issues and assist in data integrity checks.

Automated Testing (Secondary):

• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using industry-standard testing tools and frameworks.
• Collaborate with developers to identify, document, and prioritize test cases.
• Create and maintain test data sets to support automation efforts.
• Perform regression testing, smoke testing, and automated test suite maintenance.
• Ensure test scripts are maintainable, efficient, and deliver comprehensive coverage.

Defect Management:

• Identify, document, and track software defects, including detailed reproduction steps.
• Work with developers to ensure the timely resolution of defects.
• Verify defect fixes and regression testing after changes are made.

Test Documentation:

• Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and test data.
• Generate test summary reports and provide clear, concise status updates to the team.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of testing processes and standards.

Daily Responsibilities:

• Daily Dev environment approvals for CRM and associated applications
• Writing, debugging, and reviewing automated test cases.
• Daily spot checks of OC-Brands deployments

Weekly Tasks:

• Documenting test cases
• Weekly Stage environment approvals for production pre-deployment
• Weekly Analytics review for negative trends
• Weekly Production post-deployment review

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience in software quality assurance and testing, with an emphasis on automated testing.
• Strong proficiency in writing and executing SQL queries for data analysis.
• Familiarity with test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Certifications in software testing are a plus.
• Retail or Ecommerce experience is a plus
