Our client, a Philadelphia headquartered distribution company is growing their application support team! This is a DIRECT HIRE Opportunity and fully onsite 5 days a week in Northeast Philadelphia. 

Job Summary

The IT Application Support Analyst function is responsible for providing a broad array of Application Support to customers, supporting both internal and external. The IT Application Support Analyst manages multiple vendor resources to provide IT operational services based on contractual Service Level Agreements or SLA. This position reports to the ERP Operations Manager.

Responsibilities:
  • Providing software application support under the supervision of the manager.
  • Ensuring effective front end and back end functionality of applications.
  • Maintain and update all the process related reports for reference purposes.
  • Consulting with the application team, internal users, and clients to improve application performance.
  • Establishing the causes of application errors, and escalating serious concerns to the application team and managers.
  • Keeping record of configuration changes and scheduling application updates.
  • Documenting processes and monitoring application performance metrics.
  • Providing front end support to clients and colleagues in other departments.
  • Monitor and measure the benefits of post process implementation to ensure product quality, efficiency, and improvement.
  • Prepare business process reports for management.
  • Work closely with end users to prioritize and manager completion of support tickets.
  • Attend meetings to capture information back to the team or Manager.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Intermediate understanding of Microsoft operating systems server/client, Active Directory and patching.
  • Intermediate understanding of Microsoft SharePoint administration and content management.
  • Experience with EDI terminology, operations and middleware preferred but not required.
  • Ability to document configuration changes, and monitor performance.
  • Exceptional ability to provide front end support to internal departments and web-based clients.
  • Advanced proficiency in root cause analysis of application errors and repairing them.
  • Experience with HP-UX, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, AS/400 and ERP software preferred however not required.
  • Applications: Infor Web UI ERP, Trend SXe ERP, TWL WMS, Banyan TMS, Pro2SQL, Unforms – Forms Printing, CenPos Credit Card Processing, Sovos Sales Tax processing, along with numerous additional add-ons & support applications.
  • Experience with scanning devices and symbology preferred, however not required.
  • SQL server knowledge, and ability to write basic SQL reports.
  • Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and protocols.

Related Skillsets/Abilities:
  • Minimum of 2-year Associate level degree in Computer Science or related discipline, including Information Technology concentration is preferred.
  • 3- 5 years of work experience, or combination of education, training & experience.
  • Ability to understand business operating activities and translate them into system processes.
  • Exposure to large scale Enterprise and Network-based IT operations is preferred.
  • Desire to evaluate and suggest improvements for existing systems and processes.
  • Ability to be very hands-on and get into the details.
  • Team player-type personality.
  • Ability to multi-task while completing assignments and projects.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Able to communicate effectively with non-technical staff and with members of interdisciplinary teams.
  • Flexible and adaptable in regards to learning and understanding new technologies
  • Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to conduct research into software-related issues and products
  • Highly self-motivated and directed
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Suite of products; Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, Word, & Outlook

  • Experience with Linux and Windows OS and applications
  • Knowledge of any CRM applications

    • Manufacturing or Distribution Industry experience
