Overview:  
Our client, a Wilmington, DE-based organization is seeking a Security Project Manager to join their growing team! This exciting role is a contract-to-hire opportunity. This role is hybrid working on-site in the Wilmington, DE office on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.  Candidate must be in commutable distance from Wilmington.  Could consider candidates near Worthington, OH, but Wilmington is preferred.

  • Will be helping implement new security tools as our client migrates into the Cloud. Need to secure the process during migration.

Description:
The Project Manager is an experienced leader who manages strategic, enterprise-level projects of small-medium scopes and complexities, both technical and non-technical. These projects range from enhancing existing business to expanding into new, strategic areas. The Project Manager will provide value to the overall Organization, across several Business Lines, by being the project leader responsible for the overall success of the project. Responsibilities will include leading all detailed phases of the Project Lifecycle: Initiation, Planning, Executing, Monitoring & Controlling and Closing.

Position Objectives
This position will act as a key connection point between individual leaders and contributors, including: Executive Leadership, Project Sponsor, Project Owner, Project Team members, Various Internal Business Lines and External Vendors.  This position will work to cultivate and maintain strong relationships with Associates, across all departments, and lead through exemplary performance in textbook project management.

Responsibilities:  
  • Assumes the role of Overall Project Lead, overseeing one or more projects concurrently.
  • Applies PMI Project Management Processes & Methodologies, ensuring standardized practices and project success.
  • Serves as a Project Management Role Model for Waterfall/Predictive, Agile, and Hybrid projects.
  • Communicates Project Status, Risks, Issues, and Solutions effectively to all Stakeholders.
  • Defines Project Team Roles & Responsibilities, leading Cross-functional Project Teams.
  • Advocates for consistent project management components, coaching others in project management.
  • Leads the Initiation Phase, evaluating project ideas, creating business cases, and securing Project Charter signoff.
  • Develops detailed Project Management Plans (Scope, Timeline, Budget, etc.) for successful execution.
  • Establishes partnering relationships with departments and Business Lines.
  • Executes Project Scope on time, on budget, and with high quality.
  • Empowers and supports the Project Team through Servant Leadership.
  • Sets clear expectations, organizes testing activities, and aligns project resource hours.
  • Recommends Changes and Corrective Actions, communicates with Stakeholders, and maintains team morale.
  • Manages Vendor relationships and coordinates project delivery objectives.
  • Conducts regular working and review meetings, presents updates to Leadership Teams.
  • Documents changes, maintains the Risk Register and Issue Log.
  • Communicates KPIs, Project Health, and escalates issues when necessary.
  • Obtains formal signoff from Project Sponsor and Project Owner.
  • Conducts Lessons Learned Sessions, analyzes project performance, and proposes improvements.
  • Recognizes and celebrates the Project Team's efforts.
  • Contributes to New Process and People Development.
  • Promotes Project Management Practices across the Organization with a "Grassroots Marketing" mindset.
Required Skills and Experience: 
  • Nice to have but not required - Degree in Business, Project Management, or related field is required. Master’s Degree a plus. Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Project Management experience in IT, Insurance, Automotive, Commercial and Retail Fit-Out a strong plus.
  • 3-5years of High-Level Project Management experience in Business, IT or Retail/Commercial Project Management
  • Knowledge of Standard Project Management Practices & Methodologies: Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK).
  • Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) is a minimum requirement. Project Management Professional (PMP), or equivalent, is required to be complete within 1 year of service.
  • Agile Project Management Certification(s) and/or Scrum Certification(s) preferred.
  • Strong desire to develop in the career of project management and leadership.
  • Ability to coach & mentor others as Project Management grows within the overall organization.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities
  • In-depth knowledge and enthusiasm for internal company Applications and Services.
  • Essential skills include strong Leadership, Organization, Attention to Detail, and Communication.
  • Proficiency in Project Management, encompassing Scope, Time, Budget (Cost), Communication, Purchasing, Resource, Change, Risk, and Stakeholder Management.
  • Focused on a "Make It Happen" Mindset, demonstrating creative leadership and taking ownership of overall project success.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple high-level projects simultaneously, spanning both technical and non-technical domains.
  • Directing project teams effectively and coordinating with multiple departments (business lines) throughout the project life cycle.
  • Expertise in Project Management Software, with a requirement for Microsoft Project (MS Project) and a preference for Agile Project Management Tools such as Jira and Azure DevOps. Experience with ServiceNow (SNOW) is also preferred.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office (MS Office), Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; with a preference for Visio.
  • Familiarity with video-conferencing software such as Webex, Skype, Microsoft Teams, and Zoom is necessary.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Self-motivated and capable of performing effectively with minimal supervision.
