This is a DIRECT HIRE Role! The Software Engineer is a Hybrid (Philadelphia) or Remote Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas ONLY role. For candidates around the Philadelphia area- candidates will travel onsite a few times a quarter to the HQ in Philadelphia.  For remote candidates, our client will coordinate and cover expenses for travel to Philadelphia on a quarterly basis.

Job Responsibilities
    1. Build and enhance suite of web services across multiple products, platforms, and applications
    2. Analyze requirements and translate specifications into system designs
    3. Apply systems thinking to create solutions across environments and products
    4. Collaborate in the selection of software development tools and frameworks
    5. Interface with point of sale systems, web services, hardware devices, and data warehouses
    6. Influence product design by being the voice of maintainability
    7. Ensure the delivery of high quality and rigorously consistent products
    8. Contribute to the design of the company's software standards
    9. Code application libraries for re-usability and test ability.
    10. Define projects, tasks, and release deliverables
    11. Contribute to software process improvement
    12. Automate continuous delivery pipeline
    13. Strive to become a subject matter expert in company’s products and the payment industry.
    14. Interface with internal and external stakeholders
    15. Learn and adapt to the ever-changing hardware and software environments of payment systems and processing
    16. Publish training material and other technical documentation

Job Requirements
    1. Capably perform all software engineering responsibilities
    2. Systems thinking, exemplary technical expertise, and creative problem solving
    3. High integrity, role ownership and passion, and communication leadership
    4. Comfortable in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial team environment
    5. Comfortable with agile and test-driven development
    6. Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline OR Certified Software Engineer, Certified Solutions Developers, or related certification
    7. 5 years experience in software engineering, quality engineering, release engineering, or related roles
    8. Must pass a criminal and credit background check

Preferred Job Experience
    1. Web services including REST, Soap, WCF
    2. C#, .NET Core, and Microsoft Visual Studio development environment
    3. Bitbucket and Git source control
    4. T-SQL and MS SQL Server database
    5. TeamCity and Artifactory automation
    6. Payment industry practices and point of sale hardware and software
    7. Jira Software, Jira Portfolio, Confluence, Microsoft Office, and SharePoint collaboration
    8. IIS and WCF delivery
    9. Data security, encryption, and PCI compliance
