Role: Business Systems Analyst
Location: HYBRID - 3 days on-site in Center City, Philadelphia

(Tuesday through Thursday on-site, Monday and Friday remote)
Type: 6-month contract-to-hire

Overview:

Need experience with ServiceNow basic modules like incident, problem, knowledge, change, and request management.
Also responsible for requirement gathering, various testing, demo/training, virtual task board, Agile (Kanban knowledge preferred), automation test framework preferred, ServiceNow upgrade, change/release process, SDLC process, document writing, reporting. This is a 6-month long contract with the strong possibility to convert.


Responsibilities: 
  • Serves as a liaison between the business community and the IT organization in order to provide technical solutions to meet user needs.
  • Translate high level business requirements into functional specifications for the IT organization and manages changes to such specifications
  • Demonstrate expertise in the business unit (s) Collaborates with the business community, IT, Vendor and other stakeholders to elicit, organize and clarify the project objectives
  • Collaborate with business partners to ensure technology outcomes aligns with the overall business strategy
  • Determines business requirements by working with business clients and in discussions with Business Architecture, IT and Vendors (or cross-functional technical teams) to document and captures the appropriate risk, issues, scope, or changes to requirements.
  • Elicit requirements via standard methods such as brainstorming, document analysis , focus group, interface analysis, interview, observation, prototyping, requirement workshops, JAD sessions, etc.
  • Provide standard requirements analysis and documentation including structures requirements and business model domains, analysis of user requirements and functional requirements, Quality of Service Requirements, Assumptions and Constraints, Data and Behavior models, process flow and usage models. 
  • May have input in the selection of vendors and evaluation of software applications.
  • Performs investigation, evaluation and documentation of system design findings. 
  • Assures that users understand business system functions. 
  • Create and apply diagrams that represent the flow, the process and the transformation of data within various systems. 
  • Measure and Report on Requirements activity
  • Works independently; participates in peer reviews with Lead BSA 
Qualifications:
  • BA/BS in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience. 
  • Demonstrated strong analytical, technical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work with multiple business systems and have a good understanding of system design.
  • Demonstrated oral and written communications skills
  • Basic understanding of the business environment and associated systems
  • Detail oriented
  • Must be able to present findings to management
  • Must be able to work with internal and external departments to gather appropriate information
