Solutions Architect (Applications)
6 month Contract – High Likelihood of extension or conversion to direct hire!!
Hybrid – Onsite 3 days per week (Tues- Thurs.) – Philly, PA 19103

Overview:
Our client, a major healthcare insurance organization, is looking for a Solutions Architect for a 6+ month contract role.  The Solution Architect will work with a cross-functional team to design and enable efficient delivery of business technology solutionsThere is conversion potential with this role.

This Solutions Architect should have experience in a wide variety of enterprise applications as well as deep knowledge of EDI and industry standards related to the electronic exchange of healthcare information. This candidate should be well versed in X12 Standards, FHIR and HL7. Healthcare Insurance is a MUST HAVE for this position!

This position is a HYBRID ONSITE role in Philadelphia requiring 3 days a week onsite.

Responsibilities:
  • Participate in pre-project meetings to with internal stakeholders, external partners, and vendors to gather high level business requirements, develop conceptual diagram, assist with high level estimates.
  • Understand the interactions between systems, applications, and services within the environment, and evaluate the impact of changes or additions.
  • Provide business and technical solution recommendations to ensure that the new system or enhancement meets the requirements and can be achieved through high quality deliverables.
  • Provide architecture support for application development, maintenance, and enhancement efforts.
  • Collaborate with external vendors, provide requirements, review vendor deliverables to ensure it meets the business need.
  • Analyze systems and perform usability testing to ensure performance and reliability, maintainability, enhance scalability, and meet security requirements.
  • Work closely with the business and development teams to develop road maps for applications, align development plans, and to ensure effective integration among information systems and the IT infrastructure.
  • Monitor technological advancements to ensure that solutions are continuously improved, supported, and aligned with industry and company standards as well as emerging business requirements.

Qualifications
  • Must have health insurance business knowledge, standards, and protocols (X12 EDI Standards, FHIR)
  • Experience in software architecture or large-scale multi-systems solutions design
  • Experience in business process design and modeling
  • Experience coordinating with external vendors
  • Analytical mindset
  • Excellent communication skills
  • 8+ years of IT working experience
  • Knowledge of different technologies, development languages, and proficient with development tools, and IDEs:
    • Java, .NET
    • Mulesoft, Biztalk
    • Web Services and Web APIs (SOAP, RESTful)
    • Microsoft Visual Studio, SQL Server, Mulesoft Anypoint Studio
    • Microsoft Reporting Services, Tableau
    • Database queries
    • Google Cloud Platform
