Our client, a mortgage organization, is seeking an experienced Service Now Product Owner to join their dynamic team! This is a HYBRID onsite role and is contract to hire!

Job Summary:
Our client is seeking a talented and experienced ServiceNow Product Owner to lead the strategic direction and development of our ServiceNow platform. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of ServiceNow capabilities, coupled with strong business acumen and leadership skills. As the ServiceNow Product Owner, you will collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements, prioritize enhancements, and drive continuous improvement to maximize the value of our ServiceNow investment.


  • Product Strategy: Develop and communicate a clear vision and roadmap for the ServiceNow platform aligned with business objectives and IT service management best practices.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to gather requirements, understand business needs, and prioritize feature development and enhancements.
  • Requirements Definition: Translate business needs into clear and actionable requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria for implementation by the development team.
  • Release Planning: Plan and prioritize feature releases, enhancements, and updates based on business value, resource availability, and dependencies.
  • Feature Development: Work closely with development teams to ensure the timely and successful delivery of features, enhancements, and fixes, following Agile development methodologies.
  • Product Configuration: Configure and customize the ServiceNow platform to meet business requirements, leveraging out-of-the-box functionality and customizations where necessary.
  • Quality Assurance: Collaborate with QA teams to ensure the quality and reliability of delivered features, conducting testing and validation as needed.
  • User Training and Support: Provide guidance, training, and support to end-users to ensure effective adoption and utilization of the ServiceNow platform.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor platform performance and user feedback, identifying opportunities for optimization and improvement.
  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with ServiceNow vendors and partners, staying informed about product updates, roadmap changes, and industry trends.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or experience.
  • Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role, with a focus on ServiceNow platform development and implementation.
  • Strong understanding of IT service management processes and frameworks, such as ITIL.
  • In-depth knowledge of ServiceNow capabilities, modules, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience working in Agile development environments, with proficiency in Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
  • ServiceNow certifications, such as Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS), Certified Application Developer (CAD), or Certified System Administrator (CSA), preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Must haves:
  • Experience managing tasks in an Agile Scrum Sprint environment.
  • Deep ServiceNow knowledge with all modules especially ITOM, CSM, and ITSM
  • Experience writing business requirements
  • Be a steward of the platform
  • Experience working with business groups to mirror their processes and workflows into ServiceNow
  • Work to build out automations in ServiceNow
