Location: Hybrid in Philadelphia, PA (Center City)
1 day a week onsite while on contract, once converted will be 3 days on-site (Tuesday-Thursday)

Overview:  
Our healthcare client is looking for a Senior
Red Hat Linux Admin to join the RHEL server team as they transition to OpenShift both in our private and public cloud. The ideal candidate will have an affinity for technology and the Linux OS. This is a 6-month contract with the strong possibility to convert to a full time opportunity. 

They are looking for candidates with experience in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 and 8, as well as experience upgrading from Red Hat 7 to Red Hat 8. Experience with OpenShift, Ansible Automation, and the ELK stack would be beneficial. The candidate should have deep Linux administration experience and be able to work well in a team.


Responsibilities:
• Configures, installs, maintains and upgrades computer systems hardware and software.
• Administers and maintains security of operating systems.
• Restores files or systems by designing, writing and implementing back-up procedures.
• Provides operational support for the organization's information systems and peripheral equipment such as application servers, database servers, web servers, desktops, printers and storage devices.
• Performs recovery procedures, scheduling and back-ups and monitors batch processes.
• Match incumbents responsible for administering systems on multiple platforms such as mainframe, UNIX and LAN to this discipline.


Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• 4+ years of RHEL/OpenShift experience:
• +5 years supporting RHEL/RHEV/Satellite
• +3 years supporting OpenShift
• Install and maintain OpenShift clusters
• Experience working with public cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP), particularly in areas of containerization, automation, and remote systems management
• Server administration, monitoring and configuration management. Ansible and scripting experience a plus.
• Server hardening techniques, including vulnerability remediation and privileged access management.
• Performance resiliency and disaster recovery testing
• Log aggregation and correlation using ELK (or equivalent technology)
• Experience with CI/CD deployment pipeline integration (preferred tools: Ansible, Jenkins, Nexus)
• Automating end-to-end workflows (SRE experience preferred)
• Maintenance and performance optimization
• Documenting workflows and providing evidence for audit reporting
• Demonstrable knowledge of containers, cloud technologies, and agile/scrum activities
• Understanding of Elasticsearch administration and troubleshooting.
