Our client, a national mortgage lending and servicing company, is seeking to grow their team by hiring an experienced CXOne Telecom Engineer. This is a 6 month contract to hire opportunity. This role is 100% REMOTE and must be comfortable working EST hours.

The CXOne Telecom Engineer is responsible for telecom systems design, implementation, configuration and administration across our national multi-site environment. We are seeking a skilled Telecom Engineer with experience in CXOne to join our dynamic team. As a Telecom Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our telecommunications systems.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Supervises and provides technical platform guidance to Telecom Engineering and Telecom Admin staff as appropriate.
  • Implements Call Center changes including Queue, Skills, Profiles, and Reporting.
  • Performs Telecom system administration, design and engineering on I3 IP PBX and ancillary applications and systems including but not limited to: Call Center Dialer, Quality Recording, Voice Mail, Gateways, VPN, and Systems Monitoring.
  • Design, develop, and maintain software solutions for telecommunications systems, with a focus on CXOne.
  • Ensure network reliability, optimize performance, and implement new features aligned with industry standards.
  • Provides Tier 3 production support on the Telecom Infrastructure and Telephony applications.
  • Maintains, recommends and implements enhancements and upgrades to the production Telecom systems and applications.
  • Responsible for oversight and submission of Telecom Engineering level RFCs and back out plan submissions supporting changes and upgrades to telephony systems.
  • Responsible for oversight, configuration and enablement of system alarming and capacity management alerting for I3 and related telephony subsystems.
  • Coordinates efforts and activities with Infrastructure teams for server and dbase level upgrades and patching evolutions.
  • Participates in the Telecom support on-call schedule rotation.
  • Directly responsible or oversees the pre-configuration of I3 premise based hardware. Coordinates and completes the installation of voice network circuits for all locations.
  • Resolves escalated Telecom Tier 1 and 2 production support issues.
  • Provides end user education/training on Telecom technologies and applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate the implementation of quality solutions.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements to contribute innovative ideas for system improvement.
  • Conduct regular system audits to ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards.
  • Analytical thinker with proven track record of being able to troubleshoot and resolve critical production issues.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced agile environment while maintaining industry standards and best practices.
  •  Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, or comparable work experience
  • Strong Python, Snippet, SQL Scripting skills
  • Proven experience as a Telecom Engineer, with specific expertise in CXOne.
  • Strong understanding of telecommunication protocols and standards.
Nice to haves:
  • Experience integrating telecom applications with Salesforce, AWS, Azure and Snowflake
  • In depth understanding of telecommunication network solutions and SBC maintenance
  • Proficient in object-oriented programming languages such as Java, C and other languages relevant to software development
