Overview:?
Our client, a national insurance company, is seeking a highly skilled and organized Project Manager (PM) to lead their response to a data breach incident affecting their independent insurance agencies. This individual will play a critical role in assessing client impact, managing cross-functional teams, and developing and executing a comprehensive communication strategy. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements while managing communications with approximately 5,000-7,000 stakeholders over a 3-6 month period.

Job Summary:?
        Client Impact Assessment
  • Collaborate with IT and the major incident response team to determine the scope of the breach.
  • Analyze compromised data to identify affected agencies and clients.
  • Prioritize response actions based on the severity of impact.
        Communication Strategy Development
  • Work with Legal and Communications (Comms) teams to draft compliant and clear communication templates.
  • Tailor messaging to the needs of impacted agencies and clients.
  • Define and utilize multiple communication channels (e.g., email, portals, direct outreach).
        Stakeholder Coordination
  • Align messaging and timelines with the incident response, IT, and client services teams.
  • Establish a feedback loop for stakeholders to raise concerns and provide input.
        Pre-Notification and Compliance
  • Assess the need for pre-notification in consultation with Legal and IT.
  • Document and ensure adherence to regulatory obligations.
        Data Management
  • Develop a centralized, secure database to track responses and queries from impacted parties.
  • Implement tools for stakeholders to select remediation options and provide feedback.
        Option Development and Support
  • Collaborate with Legal and IT to design a set of remediation options for agencies.
  • Provide clear guidance to agencies for implementing chosen actions.
        Reporting and Feedback
  • Regularly report project status, findings, and feedback to the incident response team.
  • Adjust strategies based on stakeholder responses and ongoing evaluations.? 

Required Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Information Technology, or a related field. PMP certification is preferred.
  • Experience managing large-scale stakeholder communications (5,000+ individuals).
  • Familiarity with database development and management.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
