Our client is a global leader in sports apparel. Distributed in over 35 countries, our client specializes in high performance, niche, branded apparel that meets exacting needs from top athletes. Its branded products have been consistently worn by Olympians, World Champions, and enthusiast amateurs for over 30 years.
They are looking for a detail-oriented PM/QA Manager to join their team. This HYBRID onsite role
This position is a 6 month contract to hire opportunity.
Our client is looking for a proactive and technically skilled Hands-On PM/QA Manager to lead our QA and Project Management efforts while actively contributing to testing and project delivery. This role requires a dynamic leader who can balance people management with direct execution—creating test plans, running tests, managing projects, and ensuring timely, high-quality product releases. Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Management:
- Lead and mentor QA and PM team members, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback
- Coordinate QA and project management functions to align with organizational goals
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with engineering, product, and executive stakeholders
- Design, write, and execute manual and automated test cases for web, mobile, and API-based applications
- Manage defect reporting, triaging, and resolution in coordination with development teams
- Maintain and improve test automation frameworks and testing environments
- Drive continuous improvement in QA processes, tools, and metrics
- Plan and lead software projects from kickoff through delivery, including scope, timelines, risk, and resource management
- Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and status reporting
- Track project milestones, manage change requests, and ensure stakeholder alignment
- Identify and mitigate project risks to keep delivery on schedule and within scope
- Experience in Business Analysis and requirements gathering, including writing requirements specifications and some experience with design documents.
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, with a strong understanding of QA methodologies and tools
- 4+ years of experience in project management, preferably in Agile/Scrum environments
- 2+ year in a leadership or managerial role, with team oversight responsibilities
- Proficiency in testing tools (e.g., ACCELQ, Selenium, Postman, TestRail), bug tracking (e.g., Jira), and project management tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Jira, Trello)
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to shift between tactical execution and strategic leadership
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with eCommerce testing (eg Shopify, Sitecore websites, other)
- Experience with ERP systems (eg M3, Configure Price Quote tools, other)
- ISTQB, PMP, or Scrum Master certification
- Experience with CI/CD, DevOps, and version control tools (e.g., Git)
- Background in working with cross-functional, remote, or distributed teams
- Knowledge of performance or security testing is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with programming languages (C#/.NET/SQL)
