Job Title: Data Visualization Specialist
 

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and insightful Data Visualization Specialist to support data-driven decision-making and business innovation through impactful dashboards and analytics. This 100% remote, contract-to-hire opportunity focuses on designing, developing, and implementing enterprise-grade business intelligence solutions that bring clarity and action to complex data across diverse business domains.
 

Work Schedule:
• Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST
 

Key Responsibilities of the Data Visualization Specialist:
• Design and build interactive dashboards and data visualizations using tools such as Tableau or Qlik
• Partner with stakeholders to translate business needs into meaningful data insights
• Collaborate with data engineering teams to define and validate data sourcing and transformation logic
• Lead or participate in proof-of-concept efforts to assess new BI tools and visualization strategies
• Establish and promote visualization best practices, standards, and user adoption strategies
• Conduct testing and ensure quality and accuracy of reporting deliverables
• Mentor junior analysts and contribute to team knowledge-sharing
• Support business process improvements through analytics storytelling
 

Qualifications and Skills for the Data Visualization Specialist:
• 5–10 years of hands-on experience with Tableau or Qlik, and strong SQL proficiency
• Proven success delivering enterprise-level BI and data visualization solutions
• Solid understanding of semantic data access, data pipelines, and reporting architectures
• Strong visual design sensibility and storytelling skills to simplify and communicate complex data
• Ability to lead cross-functional projects and influence stakeholder decision-making
• Experience mentoring junior team members and promoting best practices in analytics
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience accepted
• Must have experience beyond academic projects—real-world BI implementations required
