Job Title: DecSecOps Engineer
 

Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a DecSecOps Engineer to join our client to help strengthen cloud security practices and streamline compliance automation. This contract role, based in Mechanicsburg, PA, requires working onsite two days a week and focuses on designing preventive controls, embedding security into CI/CD pipelines, and aligning with CJIS and NIST standards. The engineer will be hands-on in building reusable templates, guiding pilot teams, and delivering auditor-ready evidence, ensuring secure and efficient adoption of AWS environments across the enterprise.
 

Compensation:
$47-$50/Hour
 

Work Schedule:
8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday (with a one-hour lunch break)
 

Key Responsibilities of the DecSecOps Engineer:
• Design and maintain secure-by-default AWS infrastructure templates (CDK, CloudFormation, and Terraform) for enterprise adoption.
• Integrate automated scanning and compliance checks into GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps pipelines to enforce security standards.
• Build and evolve preventive guardrails, reference modules, and enforcement patterns tied to CJIS and NIST 800-53 requirements.
• Generate compliance reports and evidence artifacts that map directly to control frameworks, ensuring audit readiness.
• Partner with pilot teams to coach adoption of templates and raise gaps for enterprise-level enforcement.
 

Qualifications and Skills for the DecSecOps Engineer:
• 5+ years of experience in AWS security automation and DevOps practices.
• Advanced expertise in AWS CDK and CloudFormation, with working knowledge of Terraform.
• Hands-on experience creating CI/CD workflows in GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps.
• Strong scripting ability with Python and Bash; familiarity with PowerShell for Windows automation.
• Ability to review Java and C# codebases to fine-tune SAST/SCA integration.
• Working knowledge of CJIS and NIST 800-53 frameworks and practical application of compliance automation.
• Experience with tools such as Checkov, Trivy, Inspector, or CodeQL is a plus.
• Exposure to EKS, ECS, Lambda hardening, or basic Azure security automation is desirable.
