Job Title: Business Systems Analyst
Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Business Systems Analyst to join our client to support critical data warehouse and integration initiatives in Philadelphia, PA. This hybrid contract-to-hire role (onsite Tuesday–Thursday) focuses on analyzing, mapping, and documenting complex data processes while leveraging advanced SQL expertise to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance of healthcare-related data. The Business Systems Analyst will collaborate with technical teams and business stakeholders to transform requirements into actionable solutions, oversee data validation, and contribute to production readiness efforts. This position requires a candidate who thrives in a collaborative environment, is detail-oriented, and is adept at bridging business and technical perspectives.
Compensation:
$78.57/hour
Work Schedule:
Hybrid, onsite Tuesday–Thursday in Philadelphia, PA. Flexible start time between 8–9 a.m. On-call and occasional weekend support required.
Key Responsibilities of the Business Systems Analyst:
• Partner with stakeholders and data modelers to gather requirements, document business needs, and translate them into functional specifications and mapping documents.
• Design, write, and validate advanced SQL queries to analyze, profile, and manipulate large, complex datasets across multiple tables.
• Lead data profiling and quality assessments to identify gaps, ensure accuracy, and support data transformation and migration strategies.
• Support testing and user acceptance processes, including production readiness verification, troubleshooting, and post-deployment validation.
• Contribute to data warehouse documentation, including BRDs, FRDs, and source-to-target mapping, while ensuring compliance and alignment with business objectives.
Qualifications and Skills for the Business Systems Analyst:
• At least 6+ years of experience with advanced SQL development, including creating complex queries, aggregate functions, and use of WHERE and HAVING clauses.
• Proven expertise in data mapping, data profiling, and analysis within data warehouse environments.
• Strong documentation skills, with experience preparing business and functional requirement documents.
• Excellent communication and active listening skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across business and technical teams.
• Familiarity with healthcare claims data and related operational systems strongly preferred.
• Experience with source-to-target mapping and supporting UAT, testing, and production readiness is a plus.
