Job Title: Ecommerce QA Tester
 

Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking an Ecommerce QA Tester to join our client and play a critical role in the successful migration of multiple ecommerce platforms to Shopify. This position will focus heavily on validating site migration accuracy — including feature parity, data integrity, and third-party integrations — to ensure a seamless, high-quality go-live experience. The ideal candidate will have hands-on Shopify testing experience and partner closely with development and product teams to proactively identify issues, verify fixes, and maintain top-tier site performance, usability, and stability. This is a 6-month contract position located onsite in the Wyomissing, PA area.

Compensation:
$55–$65 per hour
 

Work Schedule:
Onsite in Wyomissing, PA; must be available during testing sprints and the go-live period.
 

Key Responsibilities of the Ecommerce QA Tester:

• Execute manual and automated test cases across web functionality, integrations, checkout flows, and user interfaces within Shopify and legacy ecommerce environments.
• Lead and support comprehensive migration testing to ensure smooth transition to Shopify including validation of product data, customer data, site structure/navigation, and custom workflows.
• Validate headless components, API connections, and external system integrations to ensure accurate data flow post-migration.
• Track, document, and communicate defects through established QA tools while partnering closely with developers for timely resolution.
• Maintain thorough test documentation and contribute to test suite enhancements as new Shopify features and releases are deployed.
• Assist with regression and user acceptance testing to confirm ecommerce readiness prior to launch and during post-launch stabilization.

Qualifications and Skills for the Ecommerce QA Tester:

• 4+ years of experience as a QA Tester, ideally within ecommerce or consumer-facing digital platforms.
• Required hands-on experience testing Shopify migrations, Shopify Plus architecture, and core ecommerce functionality.
• Knowledge of other ecommerce systems such as Sitecore, Infor M3, or CPQ is a plus.
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC processes, and automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
• Proven ability to assess and troubleshoot production-level issues quickly, demonstrating ownership and attention to detail during critical go-live windows.
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive, problem-solving mindset—able to work independently while staying aligned with sprint goals and cross-functional partners.
• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred, though equivalent professional experience will be considered.
