Job Title: Senior Data Modeler
Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Senior Data Modeler to join our client to design, optimize, and maintain sophisticated data structures that support enterprise-wide analytics and reporting. In this role, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate complex business and technical requirements into efficient data models, ensuring data accuracy, scalability, and security across systems. The ideal candidate will leverage advanced SQL and modeling tools to streamline data integration, enhance performance, and deliver trusted insights that drive business decisions. This position is best suited for someone who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and enjoys being a subject matter expert in data design and governance.
Compensation:
$78/hour
Work Schedule:
Hybrid schedule — onsite Tuesday through Thursday in Philadelphia, PA. Standard hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.
Key Responsibilities of the Senior Data Modeler:
Design and optimize data structures to support data warehousing, analytics, and application development, applying normalization, abstraction, and generalization best practices.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams — including Business Analysts, Developers, and Project Managers — to translate business requirements into scalable database solutions and documentation.
Leverage data modeling tools such as ERwin to create entity relationship diagrams, generate DDL scripts, and maintain data dictionaries and metadata repositories.
Ensure data integrity and security by establishing standards for data access, governance, and compliance across multiple environments and cloud platforms.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship, guiding peers in data modeling, mapping, and administration while promoting continuous improvement in data quality and efficiency.
Qualifications and Skills for the Senior Data Modeler:
7+ years of experience in data modeling, with deep knowledge of relational and dimensional design (Star Schema, Snowflake).
Advanced proficiency in SQL, ERwin, and data profiling tools, including forward and reverse engineering processes.
Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile methodology, ETL processes, BI tools, and data warehousing best practices.
Demonstrated experience integrating data from diverse sources and designing models that support historical and hierarchical perspectives.
Proven ability to collaborate effectively across teams, communicate complex concepts clearly, and manage multiple concurrent projects.
Experience with Google Cloud Platform and database technologies such as BigQuery, SQL Server, Oracle, or MySQL preferred.
Background in healthcare insurance or a related industry is a plus.
