Job Title: SAP Subject Matter Expert

Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking an SAP Subject Matter Expert to join our client to support and enhance enterprise SAP financial systems during a major transformation initiative. This role plays a critical part in supporting both the current SAP ECC environment and the transition to S/4HANA, with a focus on Finance, Funds Management, and Project Systems. The SAP Subject Matter Expert will partner closely with IT teams, system integrators, and business stakeholders to ensure effective system implementation, testing, and adoption. This is a contract opportunity based in Middletown, PA, with a primarily remote work arrangement and onsite support required during key project phases.

Compensation:
$87.57 – $98.52 per hour

Work Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Key Responsibilities of the SAP Subject Matter Expert:

• Act as a subject matter expert for SAP Finance, Funds Management, and Project Systems across both ECC and S/4HANA environments

• Serve as a primary IT point of contact, coordinating with system integrators, internal IT teams, and business partners to support project initiatives

• Analyze current-state financial and project system processes and support the design of future-state workflows aligned with S/4HANA best practices

• Support system configuration, development, testing, and validation efforts to ensure successful enhancements and implementations

• Lead and support data profiling, cleansing, reconciliation, and validation activities for master and transactional data

• Ensure system changes and upgrades are fully tested, documented, and deployed successfully

• Assist with reporting, issue resolution, cutover activities, and post-go-live hypercare support

• Contribute to training efforts by identifying user needs and supporting the creation of training materials and process documentation

Qualifications and Skills for the SAP Subject Matter Expert:

• 10+ years of experience configuring and supporting SAP ECC 6.0 and S/4HANA Finance, Funds Management, and Project Systems

• Hands-on experience supporting multiple SAP S/4HANA implementation or migration projects

• Strong knowledge of SAP Finance and Controlling components with a clear understanding of end-to-end business processes

• Advanced experience working with SAP Project Systems in both ECC and S/4HANA environments

• Experience supporting month-end and year-end financial close processes within SAP

• Background participating in process discovery, solution design workshops, and system testing initiatives

• Ability to develop and review functional designs, technical documentation, test scripts, and user training materials

• Familiarity with financial policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements in public-sector or regulated environments
