Key Responsibilities of the Business Analyst:

  • Lead requirements discovery efforts, document current/future-state processes, and convert business needs into functional specifications, user stories, and structured workflows.
  • Support system integration initiatives by defining data flows, reviewing interface requirements, and partnering with architects and technical teams on solution design.
  • Facilitate workshops, conduct impact assessments, and maintain alignment across stakeholders including technology, operations, finance, compliance, underwriting, and other business units.
  • Contribute to Agile ceremonies, assist with test planning and execution (SIT/UAT), and help manage readiness activities for deployments and post-production support.

  • 5+ years working as a Business Analyst, Functional Analyst, or Systems Analyst with strong documentation, analytical thinking, and requirements-gathering skills.
  • Proficiency with system integrations, APIs, relational databases, data mapping, and enterprise platforms (e.g., policy admin, billing, claims, CRM, or data warehouse).
  • Experience working within Agile environments and using tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, and Confluence.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder-management abilities, with bonus points for insurance industry exposure, regulatory work, cloud/middleware familiarity, or basic SQL skills.
