Job Title: Product Designer
Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a
Product Designer to join our client to support ongoing product development and design initiatives during a 7-month maternity leave coverage period. In this role, you will help shape user-centered digital experiences by translating business needs into intuitive workflows, prototypes, and polished UI designs. You will collaborate closely with product, engineering, and design partners to ensure features are user-friendly, technically feasible, and aligned with accessibility best practices. This position is fully remote and ideal for someone who thrives in structured enterprise environments and enjoys contributing to end-to-end design processes.
Compensation:
$40/hr
Work Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 9 AM–5 PM
Key Responsibilities of the Product Designer:
- Partner with senior designers and product teams to enhance existing features, refine workflows, and deliver scalable, high-fidelity design solutions.
- Create user flows, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and detailed design specifications that support clear and accurate implementation.
- Conduct user research and usability testing, analyze feedback, and translate findings into actionable design improvements.
- Participate in agile ceremonies and cross-functional meetings, ensuring design decisions support product goals and deliver strong user value.
- Review developed features for design quality and accessibility compliance, adjusting designs as needed based on stakeholder and user input.
Qualifications and Skills for the Product Designer:
- A degree in design, HCI, or a similar discipline is preferred; equivalent experience is welcomed.
- At least 3 years of hands-on digital product design experience across web and mobile, ideally within enterprise or B2B environments.
- Strong proficiency in Figma and experience working within established design systems.
- Knowledge of user research methods, usability testing practices, and foundational HTML/CSS/JavaScript concepts for effective collaboration with engineers.
- Familiarity with WCAG 2.1/2.2 AA standards and ability to communicate clearly, manage priorities, and work collaboratively across teams.
