Job Title: Senior Software Developer
Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Senior Software Developer to join our client to drive enhancements to cross platform system interfaces and contribute to the buildout of high performance backend services. In this role, you will shape the evolution of their core technology by improving file system integrations, optimizing application performance, and supporting the delivery of reliable customer facing tools. You’ll partner closely with product and engineering teams while helping expand automated testing and documentation practices. This position is fully remote and structured as a contract-to-hire opportunity.
Compensation:
$160,000–$180,000
Work Schedule:
Normal Business Hours

Key Responsibilities of the Senior Software Developer:

  • Lead development efforts to enhance system level interfaces across Windows, macOS, Linux, and containerized environments.
  • Support backend API and CLI improvements with an emphasis on performance tuning, caching, and memory optimization.
  • Guide engineering initiatives by collaborating with internal teams, refining requirements, and contributing to technical documentation.
  • Strengthen product reliability through test driven development, automated testing frameworks, and CI/CD workflows.
  • Contribute to infrastructure security and system hardening practices while continuously expanding technical capabilities in new languages and tools.

Qualifications and Skills for the Senior Software Developer:

  • Extensive software development experience (5+ years) building customer-facing applications with strong clarity and precision in coding.
  • Background in systems programming, concurrency, and transaction control, with the ability to quickly learn Go and related libraries.
  • Proficiency with automated testing, performance profiling, CI/CD pipelines, and security best practices.
  • Experience with file system technologies, caching concepts, networking protocols, or cloud environments is strongly preferred.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and ability to adapt to new technologies or complex technical challenges.
