Job Title: Portfolio and Governance Manager
Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Portfolio and Governance Manager to join our client to support the advancement of enterprise planning, prioritization, and decision making across a growing business portfolio. In this role, you will guide opportunity intake, strengthen financial and capacity visibility, and ensure initiatives are prepared for executive review. You will partner closely with business leaders, portfolio teams, and delivery groups to maintain accurate data, improve governance routines, and provide insights that help drive organizational outcomes. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in structured environments and enjoys shaping the processes that keep large portfolios running smoothly.
Compensation:
$77.75 per hour
Work Schedule:
Normal business hours, Hybrid schedule (onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)

Key Responsibilities of the Portfolio and Governance Manager:
- Oversee intake of new opportunities by evaluating early stage ideas, coordinating assessments, and ensuring data is accurately captured in portfolio systems.
- Support financial planning by consolidating forecasts, tracking spend, preparing funding scenarios, and contributing to annual and mid year planning cycles.
- Maintain portfolio level visibility by monitoring demand, capacity, and resource requirements while partnering with PMO teams on staffing needs.
- Deliver clear governance support through executive level reporting, dashboard preparation, and ensuring initiatives are ready for approval forums.
- Strengthen consistency and quality across portfolio practices by driving data accuracy, facilitating governance meetings, and advising leaders on prioritization impacts.
Qualifications and Skills for the Portfolio and Governance Manager:
- A degree in a related field is preferred, with equivalent professional experience considered.
- Background in portfolio management, PMO operations, financial analysis, or enterprise delivery environments.
- Strong analytic and communication abilities with confidence presenting insights to senior leaders.
- Experience using portfolio or financial management tools such as Clarity or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with Agile concepts or work within regulated industries is beneficial.
