Job Title: Data Curator
Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Data Curator to join our client to support the development and optimization of modern data ecosystems across complex insurance environments. In this role, you will shape scalable Azure based data pipelines, ensure the quality and usability of curated datasets, and strengthen data reliability for analytics, reporting, and artificial intelligence use cases. You will also play a key part in production support operations and continuous improvement efforts that enhance performance and compliance. This position is fully remote and offers the opportunity to contribute to high impact data initiatives within a growing technology landscape.
Compensation:
$65 per hour
Work Schedule:
Standard Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Key Responsibilities of the Data Curator:

• Support the delivery of secure, scalable Azure data pipelines and storage solutions that accommodate large and complex insurance datasets.
• Oversee the organization, classification, governance, and long term stewardship of data to ensure accuracy, accessibility, and compliance across regions.
• Guide day to day production activities including monitoring, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, change control, and continuous reliability improvement.
• Streamline processes through automation, optimization, observability tooling, and integration of third party data sources.
• Collaborate with analytics, product, engineering, and AI teams to provide curated data assets that fuel reporting, decision making, and machine learning initiatives.

Qualifications and Skills for the Data Curator:

• A related degree is preferred, and comparable hands on experience in data engineering, curation, or development roles is equally valued.
• Three to five years of experience building or supporting modern data platforms, ideally within insurance data environments.
• Strong skills in SQL, ETL or ELT workflows, data modeling, and production support activities across Azure tools such as Fabric, ADF, Databricks, Synapse, and Data Lake.
• Demonstrated knowledge of data governance, classification, access controls, and best practices for handling structured, semi structured, and unstructured sources.
• Experience with big data processing, programming languages such as Python or Java, API based ingestion, and solutions that prepare data for AI or machine learning models.
