Job Title: Business Analyst

Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Business Analyst to join our client to support the discovery, definition, and translation of business needs into clear, actionable requirements. This contract-to-hire opportunity is based in Philadelphia, PA with a hybrid work arrangement. In this role, you’ll partner with stakeholders to evaluate current-state processes, pinpoint improvement opportunities, and help shape practical solutions that align with technology capabilities. You’ll produce structured documentation and analysis that enables teams to plan work confidently, reduce ambiguity, and deliver measurable operational impact.

Work Schedule:
Monday – Friday, normal business hours

Key Responsibilities of the Business Analyst:

• Elicit, validate, and refine business and functional requirements by collaborating with stakeholders and confirming alignment on intended outcomes
• Assess current workflows and procedures to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and optimization opportunities that improve performance and consistency
• Analyze business problems using research and data-driven approaches, then recommend solution paths that balance feasibility, risk, and value
• Translate requirements into clear deliverables (process maps, requirement definitions, summaries, reports, and presentations) to drive shared understanding
• Partner with project teams on scope clarification, impact assessment, and planning inputs to support effective execution and change management
• Coordinate departmental-level communication and task tracking to keep stakeholders informed and workstreams moving forward

Qualifications and Skills for the Business Analyst:

• A degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related discipline is preferred, though equivalent hands-on experience is equally valued
• Demonstrated analytical thinking with the ability to break down complex needs, identify root causes, and propose practical solutions
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical or process details for varied audiences
• Working knowledge of business analysis fundamentals, including requirements gathering, documentation practices, and process analysis concepts
• Comfort operating in collaborative, cross-functional environments while managing multiple priorities under general direction
• Aptitude for learning new tools, systems, and subject matter quickly, with a proactive and curious approach to problem-solving
