Job Title: Helpdesk Technician
Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Helpdesk Technician to join our client to support day to day technology needs for internal employees and ensure timely resolution of technical issues. This role serves as a Tier 1 point of contact, providing hands on assistance across hardware, software, and connectivity in a fast paced corporate environment. The ideal candidate brings strong troubleshooting skills, a service driven mindset, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with a broader IT team. This is a contract opportunity based in Philadelphia, PA with a hybrid work arrangement.
Compensation:
$28 to $36 per hour W2
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm
Key Responsibilities of the Helpdesk Technician:
• Deliver Tier 1 helpdesk support to internal users through phone, remote, and onsite assistance for applications, hardware, printing, and connectivity issues
• Diagnose and resolve technical problems using structured troubleshooting techniques while aiming to prevent repeat issues and reduce overall ticket volume
• Document all support activity accurately within the ticketing system, including time spent, actions taken, and resolution details
• Escalate complex or unresolved issues to higher level support teams and follow up with users to confirm successful resolution
• Support IT operations through device deployments, onboarding assistance for new employees, and inventory tracking of hardware and software assets
Qualifications and Skills for the Helpdesk Technician:
• Prior experience working as an IT Help Desk Technician or Field Technician in a corporate environment
• Solid understanding of computer systems, end user hardware, operating systems, and common business software
• Foundational knowledge of networking concepts with the ability to troubleshoot basic connectivity issues
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a professional and customer focused approach
• Proven ability to stay organized, work independently, and adapt quickly in a fast paced, team oriented setting
