Job Title: Managed Services Engineer L2
Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Managed Services Engineer L2 to join our client to support and stabilize a diverse portfolio of client IT environments. This role focuses on resolving complex technical issues, improving service delivery, and ensuring reliable day to day operations across cloud and on premise systems. The engineer will serve as a key escalation point while also contributing to project initiatives and client onboarding efforts. This is a direct hire position based in Philadelphia, PA with a hybrid work arrangement.
Compensation:
$80,000 to $95,000 base salary
Work Schedule:
Primarily business hours Monday through Friday 8 to 5 EST with flexibility for after hours on call and occasional weekend support
Key Responsibilities of the Managed Services Engineer L2:
  • Deliver Tier 2 technical support for managed clients, resolving complex issues across Microsoft 365, networking, firewalls, and hybrid infrastructure environments
  • Act as an escalation point for advanced support tickets, driving issues to resolution while minimizing handoffs to leadership
  • Support client environments both remotely and onsite, with approximately 50 percent local travel as needed
  • Contribute to project based work including new client onboarding, infrastructure improvements, and service enhancements
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ticket updates using PSA and ticketing platforms such as Autotask or similar tools
Qualifications and Skills for the Managed Services Engineer L2:
  • Two to five or more years of hands on experience in a managed services provider environment
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365, networking fundamentals, firewalls, and hybrid cloud and on premise systems
  • Proven ability to manage a daily ticket workload of 10 to 15 issues while focusing on resolution rather than escalation
  • Excellent customer facing communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and professionally
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a small engineering team while balancing client support and project responsibilities
