Job Title: AWS Cloud Engineer
Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking an AWS Cloud Engineer to join our client to support the ongoing advancement and reliability of cloud infrastructure in Wilmington, DE. This hybrid, contract to hire opportunity offers a balanced work environment with three onsite days each week. The role focuses on strengthening cloud architecture, improving performance, and driving automation through modern engineering practices. You will play an essential role in ensuring scalable, secure, and efficient AWS environments that align with business and regulatory needs.
Compensation:
$65 to $70 per hour
Work Schedule:
9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, hybrid schedule with Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday onsite

Key Responsibilities of the AWS Cloud Engineer:
- Oversee AWS infrastructure performance and guide enhancements across core services such as VPC, EC2, S3, ELB, RDS, ECS, and Redshift
- Support cloud transformation initiatives by advancing Infrastructure as Code adoption and improving deployment efficiency
- Troubleshoot system issues, identify root causes, and implement sustainable technical solutions
- Contribute to governance efforts through participation in audits, security reviews, and maintenance of operational documentation such as runbooks and SOPs
- Partner with internal teams to develop strategies, monitoring practices, and operational plans that strengthen scalability, reliability, and compliance
- At least five years of hands on experience working within AWS environments, with strong understanding of core services and architecture
- Proven knowledge of networking concepts including TCP IP, routing, and firewall configurations
- Experience supporting both Linux and Windows systems in a cloud based environment
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code practices and configuration management tools that enable automation and consistency
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present technical concepts to a range of stakeholders
